Broiled New York Strips

  • 1-2 lb. Loins or New York Strips
  • 2 tbsp. melted Butter
  • Salt and Pepper

Trim off excess fat. Brush steaks with part of the melted butter. Preheat broiler. Place broiler tray and steaks 4 to 5 inches from source of heat. Broil for about 4 minutes, turn, brush with remaining butter and broil 3 to 4 minutes more. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.

When broiling on an outside grill, place meat at least 6 inches from the source of heat. Watch steaks carefully—do not overcook. Center of meat should be slightly pink.
